Ryan, feel free to defend, or promote, whatever method of citrus cultivation you wish to defend, or wish to promote. It is certainly your right to do so. It is still called America. - Millet (896-)

No one here is recommending any toxic chemicals, most of the common pest on citrus can be treated with either horticultural oil, soap or spinosad (which is considered organic). There are no toxic chemicals in commercial fertilizers--that is the myth being promoted by "organic" proponents. The "chemicals" in commercial fertilizer are the same "chemicals" that organic matter must be converted to before they are available to any plants.

Agreed. Although I don't see where it was said that commercial fertilizers contain toxic substances. And god bless America!
