Yes, Honey Dew (honey do this, honey do that) wine
and then Weeping Santa Rosa Wine (you would be weeping after honey did this and honey did that).

I know it's gonna ring a bell... pun intended, our experiences at certain times (wife pruning the tree and would first target my grafts unintentionally?), LOL.

But seriously now, Honey Dew wine was fermented from Honey Dew Melons.

Weeping Santa Rosa wine was fermented from Weeping Santa Rosa plum fruits which werre given to me by Ashok. The Weeping Santa Rosa plum has a higher sugar content and better quality than the regular Santa Rosa plums, which in itself are top rated plums for wine making.

Can't believe that the Honey Dew wine is full-bodied and similar taste and texture to that of Viognier.

The wines are still too young but shows a lot of promise.

That's a nice addition Joe. Soon it will look like it's always been there!
That It floor corker is the best...I use the cheapo hand corker. We will have to swap wines sometime. What's the ave. final alcohol % of yours?
What is dimensions of the addition -- rooms? I love the big windows --except.. (from a womans' view LOL) ..I'm looking at those grids in all windows making cleaning them more difficult. My back door going out came with them & I cut them off. Instead of 12 little windows to clean, I have ONE. My south facing windows are set as high as possible (inside wall is over 9 ft) to let more sun in & to sorta block my idiot neighbor's view of looking in. The bottom of window is 6 ft above ground (41 inches from floor) so all he can see is the ceiling unless he uses a step ladder to look in ---which he HAS DONE. This guy has been stalking & harrassing me for yrs! Benny, I know you said you thought they were too high but this is why. The east facing windows are lower - 21 inches above floor - nice view into yard, pond & garden. I visited Frank Lloyd Write's home, west of Madison, & all his windows are set up high except L room. All his designs were like that.
What kind of floor is that..concrete? Hey, the carpenters will kick you out soon so they can finish the inside LOL.

Patty: My average ABV is 14.5%, I can make it lower for you. My lowest is 12%. Yes, let's swap wines. Mine are mostly sweet and off-dry but have a few that are dry.

Thanks for the compliments on the project. the room additions are each 13 ft x 12 ft, a total of 312 sq ft for the whole thing. The rooms are separated in the middle with a 6ft wide pocket doors so the whole addition can be used during parties to provide big indoor space with the intent of appreciating the backyard full of fruit trees and flowers too. This is a north side addition, so no problem with too much sunlight. the windows grids are trapped inside two glass surfaces filled with inert low heat capacity gas, they are double pane star energy compliant. Very easy to clean. We will put some nice wooden blinds when the construction is completed. My yard is enclosed all around by my fruit trees, providing us very nice privacy in the backyard.

That is a concrete foundation, 2ft thick at the footing all around and 8 inches thick in between and has a plastic barrier at the bottom, anchored with rebars and other straps, and also the rebars were connected into the main house foundation, bored through the existing foundation and the rebars glued there. All were built according to newest building codes minimizing damages against earthquake.

Yes we have perverts here also, but I have cameras that monitor my front and back yards and record them if needed. There are many burglaries in our neighborhood, but they haven't struck our place yet, perhaps they don't want to be recorded.

My wines are 12 - 16% and mostly on dry side. If too dry I figure I can always add sugar water. I bottled some excellent plum wine early Jan. It's sweet & knock-me-on-my-butt 16% abv. Also bottled is 5 gal fruity rose' (strawberrys, raspberries, peaches, plums, blueberries & white grape juice), wild grape (they grow all over here), mulberry, raspberry & I had to do 3 gal dandelion. Got 5 gal elderberry needing racking. I gotta try your citrus wine!!! Never heard of it before.
What a great idea with that pocket door! So, when we all come over, girls in one room guys in other, we can just close those doors after we drink all your wine! Laughing

6-ft pocket door installed, really serious for having a big room for parties. The two rooms will become one during citrus or wine tasting parties.

Joe:
I am so jealous right now it is making me so itchy to start mine.
You did say it costs you 60 grand. Is that right? Is that the total cost? No other extra expenses?
You are pushing me Joe to start mine!
I have the same area as you have so I have a lot of room in my backyard.

Benny, actually it was only close to $50K, but then with all the permits included, it came to about $54,765 todate.

I saved a little by wiring my own computer network, telephone and security and alarm system in that room addition. They wired the electricity from the main panels and I will be doing the detailing of outlets which is a matter of using a screw driver and wall plates. Has been inspected by the city and it was ok.

That price is the total price. This already inlcude their further modifications in our main house of adding more windows to compensate for the one lost by room addition.
