Hello!
I’m looking for Sorrento lemon seeds. I hear they are the best dwarf lemon tree to grow in container. I don’t know if anyone can get them in the USA, but I’m trying. Let me know please and we can go from there. I know that Meyer lemon is basically the same, but I’m hoping for a Sorrento.
Thank you,
Cindy

Sorrento is an area in Italy where lemons are grown. The local lemons grown there are femminello lemons. I have a couple femminello grafted trees that are in bloom now for sale. Just a heads up, but lemons are NOT very dwarf.

Thank you Laaz.... I didn't know the name other than Sorrento... ok, I'll try the meyer lemon tree I guess. Or maybe that is what I already have. My sisters said the tree was only 6" tall and I have that tree from seed growing in a pot now... almost a year old.

Cindy,
it's a bit off-topic:
Try Search feature on this Forum, for example searching for keyword "Sorrento" returns a list with 10 topics, like
"Amalfi Coast Lemons" link
"Sorrento lemon" link
etc.

BTW: Welcome to the Forum, we have members which are not far from you.

Hi Cindy,
- Meyer and femminello are very different.
- femminello trees are not dwarf
- femminello fruits are not dwarf
- growing a seed of Meyer will not lead to a Meyer but to an hybrid

As you see you have many things to learn. Wink
But you are at the right place to learn every things about citrus.

Welcome!

Thank you Sylvain. Yes, I do have a lot to learn.. I'm just starting down this wonderful road of citrus trees. I want to do right by my lemon tree so I can remember my sister. Little piece of her will live on in lemon form.
