Wow Joe! If I didn't already have plans for today with family here, I'd make the trip over. You had me at Cranberry wine, roasted pig, and Korean BBQ. You must be hosting quite a large group with that much food and drink, but that's what the holiday is really about -- family and friends, old and new, coming together in joyous celebration.
Try to save some of those wines for Picnic Day. Maybe I'll be there this year, especially now that the company I work for operates Yolo Transit. It's been awhile since I've been back on campus (Class of '86).
Most of my brewing efforts have been traditional German altbiers and weissbier. With such inspiration, I may have to try making a Moro melomel or a Seville metheglin sometime soon. I've always wanted to try my hand at mead. Damn, now I need to add a Seville Sour to my collection. Oh well, at least I could use the peel to make a Belgian Wit biere.
Have great Thanksgiving everyone!

A while back, Joe sent me a bottle of his wine made from Hibiscus Flowers. Even the bottle and labeling was amazingly higher class for a home bottler. I bet Thanksgiving dinner at Joe's home would be a memory to last for a life time. (However, Joe did not say if he was doing all of the cooking, or if his wife was). - Millet |

Wow Joe, wish I could see that!
My bottled wines are mostly labeled with masking tape LOL.
Will make my pumpkin pie now to bring 1 hr north to friends for dinner. I'll bring a bottle wine but will take the tape off & just tell them what it is!
Y'all have a great day! _________________ Patty

TY Joe!! and same to you and yours... and everyone else in the forum!!
Sounds like a great time!!
I'd probably never be allowed to leave.. LOL My voice is good talking but tends to squeak when trying to sing with audence.. Though after a gallon of wine ya would just kick me out for fear I'd run ya out of your reserves.. LOL My Irish/ German blood tends to over run the rest of the heinz 57 when it comes to drink.. Drink a sailor under the table and not have a hang over in the am..
Next yr I'll bring my famous candied yams!! takes 2 cups of Spiced Rum!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to EVERYONE!!!
