starting to see some of the damage from the winters cold, it dropped down to 14 deg. I have been laxed because we have has several mild winters. All of these were in pots accept the top graft.
I did loose some Yuzu and Sudachi and Satsuma. Some made it and some didn't. Not sure why some made it and some didn't make it. But I have extra of all of them.
I did leave out a Sweet Betty. I had several. She didn't make it. Not even close.
This top graft didn't do well. That surprised me. It's just Satsumas. It was doing so well, I was expecting it to fruit this year. Most of the other Satsumas did well.
My Olive tree didn't suffer any.
The 2 trees that did the best were a Brown Select Satsuma and the OP Kumquat . They didn't even defoliate.
I would like to mention that the new hybrid "Frost Orange" showed no damage but did defoliate.

Terry, has your Frost Orange flushed out yet? My Arctic Frost lost all of its leaves in 14 degree night but all of the limbs remained green so I thought it was ok. It is now regrowing from the roots and after 3 months the top is starting to brown. I don't think they are any more cold hardy than my Brown Select.
AF is supposed to survive to 10 degrees and that may be the case but only because it is on its own roots.
