These are pictures of my kinzu orange bonsai, naval orange (the smallest of my larger trees.) , nagami kamquat, and meyer lemon (the one by itself in the pitures). I have a couple of questions. I have had the naval and kinzu for about 2 months. I just got the meyer lemon and kamquat 1 1/2 weeks ago. I really do not want either to WLD or drop the fruit. I have heard they need direct sun and don't put in direct sun. They are in a south/east window which is mostly south but the sun doesn't come in very well. As you can see only about 1/3 the tree has direct sunlight. These pictures are from 1045 am to 3 pm. The kinzu was sick when I got it and dropped some leaves but is now getting lots of new growth. The navel tree has not had any leaf drop but at first it dropped a ton of the flowers and little fruit begginers and now has 5 left. Do I need to use a grow light also or is this enough to keep fruit and flowers? If they are not adjusting well and are in distress how long will it take to show problems?
I will buy something to gauge the temp of the soil in meyer lemon but since it is so close to summer do i need to buy a heat mat or use christmas lights? What is the best thing to heat the soil with? I have been watering it once a week, the soil is the soil it came with in the pot. The nursery said I don't need to repot it is that true? And how far down does the soil need to be dry before I water it again?
