Hi all,
Want to say thanks to everyone for having this forum. It seems like there is a ton of good information here, both citrus specific and fruit tree general. I was recently 'recruited' by Millet.

A quick intro, i'm an avid backyard gardner, albeit still a novice. Been growing the typical veggie garden for a few years, but have just started entertaining the idea of citrus and other fruit trees. I live in a townhouse so all of my endeavors are container bound for the moment. I do have two community garden plots where i'm still growing a smorgasborg of veggies. In containers at the house I currently have a bears lime, a wash naval and a kumquat. i had an improved meyers but the scale overran it before i even knew what they were. I also have 3 figs(black mission and celeste), two blueberries(duke and bluecrop), a couple of goji berries, haskap, 4 mangos and 3 lychees(these guys were started from seeds just for fun). My two newest members are a jobaticaba, and pitomba. I have one of those little $40 plastic greenhouses in which i'm toying with sprouting from seed the following:
carambola
rambutan
cherimoya
pluots
solo papaya as well as standard large mex papaya
pinneapple guava
dragon fruit

I live about an hour north of denver, co in what i think is a 4b zone. I'm looking to expand my collection of fruit trees and hopefully get into grafting. This, all with the idea that in the near future i'll actually move out of the townhouse and into a house where I'll actually be able to plant some of the grafts inground Laughing

Looking forward to being an active member,

-Luke

Thanks for the welcomes. At the moment my infatuation has been edible tropicals but i can quickly see how being a member on this forum is going to expand that infatuation to citrus as well. i just read a thread about joe's 87-n-1 citrus. I didn't even know there were 87 variets of citrus!!! hahah. much to learn.

Thanks for the welcome! Indeed it seems we are only a town apart. Has anyone ordered cuttings from ucdavis Ncgr? I was only made aware of that recently and if the prices are right it would be fun to try rooting some of their cuttings this winter.
