My youngest has been on local youth soccer team.. they had 6 teams in town grades 1-3.. My son's team took 2nd place!!! he made the one and only goal for the team the final game.. he was hurt in the ribs in the 3rd qtr and the score at that time was 1-0.. The opposing team took advantage and scored 2 goals to win the championship... He was only out 5 min.. but when he went back in you could tell his side was still hurting him.. He wouldn't give up though.. His ribs are a little bruised and still tender.. but he will recover.. and even though they didn't get 1st place he is pleased with 2nd..

he is in 3rd grade and we were approached during a game and asked if we would allow him to play in the travel soccer (real team that goes out of town) They are usually 4th grade and up.. but they make exceptions if the student plays well..
This was his first year playing soccer.. Everyone was amazed and said he played like he had been playing for years...

In the spring he will start travel soccer..

here are a few pics of my baby boy playing...

Sean (in green)trying to get the ball from Colton (in orange)..

Sean (#2) in his ready for action stance..

Hey Soccer Mom, looks like your doing a good job raising your children. Your pictures sure look like Kansas (and eastern Colorado for that matter). - Millet

Thanks Millet!!! And we are having a drought this yr!! Not like Northern NM where most of the time is brown brown and more brown.. unless it just rained.. LOL Trips to Colorado seemed like only time I saw green.. It is rolling hills here.. not as flat as south western KS.. And no stinky meat market factorys.. they say smells like $$ to them.. smells like cow poo to me.. LOL
Joan,, If her name is Sandy.. that's my aunt!!! LOL Chanute is about 45 miles north east-ish from me.. If you ever go visit let me know.. maybe we can meet and exchange plants over a cup of coffee.. or pizza at Opies!!

Hubby is talking about taking up coaching next yr!!! Shocked We are supose to get a new sports complex and they are supose to offer coaching classes.. He said " Then you will be soccer mom and I will be soccer dad".. I told him he was already soccer dad.. he said.. "guess I'll be SUPER Soccer dad then!!" Rolling Eyes Laughing
