I would venture a guess in the early morning, when the stoma are more open. But, Dr. Manners might be able to weigh in on this. I have my doubts about the amount of absobability with citrus leaves, since they have a waxy finish.

I always spray late in the afternoon as the insects are more active at night.

Test using radio active micro-nutrients, have shown that the nutriens are in the sap stream of the tree within 1 hour of spraying. The use of a wetting agent greatly increases the efficiency of foliar sprays. - Millet

buddinman, depends what you're spraying for. Ususally foliar sprays are for nutrients? So, spray in the morning. If you're spraying for insect control, like CLM, usually in the later afternoon or evening, after the bees have gone back to the hive, and the bad bugs are coming out (like the CLM moth that comes out in the evening). Thanks, Millet, this is very good to know. I was wondering if the micronutrient foliar sprays were working, and I can add a wetting agent, which I actually just ordered so they work even better.

Thanks all,

I was mainly asking for nutrient sprays but it was good information all around.

Thanks again,
