Just noticed yesterday that my Ponkan is curling the leaves up on the growing tips. Looks like aphids and maybe some scale. I'd like to hit them with some summer weight Volck oil, but the tree is also blossoming. Will this knock the blossoms off or should I wait?

.....Alan.

at the right concentration of oil, I don't think you will lose a lot of blossoms. Think of it as thinning out.

Are there differences in the oils used for spraying? I have heard of and used Volck oil for years as a dormant season spray on fruit trees and roses. The oil I am currently using is from Garden Safe and it list the oil as neem oil. I have seem some on this forum refer to ultrafine oil. Are these all interchangable?
