Hello all, I just stumbled on to this forum and It looked like one that I could learn from and maybe contribute to.

My family farmed citrus commercially in southern california from the early 1900's until 2006. At one time we had over 300 acres of navels, valencias, grapefruit and lemons. That is how I grew up with orange juice In my veins. I left the business for a number of years, but you don't forget what you ate, slept and breathed for a large portion of your life. Needless to say citrus propagation Is something that brings back fond memories.

I have one lisbon lemon tree now. I don't think that even counts!

I selected smudgepot for my user name since I spent many a night with them in the groves.

Welcome,

Glad to have you onboard and I'm sure your experience will be helpful to the members. Stick around long and you get infected with Citratitus and start looking for a place to grow more Citrus.
