Just took some pics of my threes yesterday before moving them inside for the winter. We had the worst summer in years with low temperatures, not exceeding 30 ºC (86 ºF) and lots of rain.
variegated calamondin
Microcitrus papuana
Kumquat
Mediterranean mandarin

MGT,
great looking plants! Congratulations!! I'm sure your collection will look like Laaz's one in a few years.
Btw, what is that pot your mediterranian is growing in? |

Very nice collection!
GT the pot you asked about is a root air-pruning pot. The roots are directed into the cones which have holes in them for aeration. The root tip dies due to exposure to the air and then more side roots are formed back along the root as a result.
MGT have you seen any difference in growth/fruit production between the one in the air-pruning pot and the ones in the normal pots? |

Lemandarangequatelo i repotted the mediterranean to air pot about 2 month ago, so i haven't noticed much difference yet. But i hope the fruits will get bigger next year in the air pot combined with a hopefully warm and sunny summer
Valencia orange i also currently repotted to air pots has been growing huge new leaves, and now got 2 tiny fruits.

Nice plants! Congratulations.
Especially the Microcitrus Papuana(?). But the leafs dont look like M.Papuana. I think, it's a Microcitrus Australasica.
=>Anyway, also a very nice plant!

@Mike you are right it does look like Microcitrus australasica, i got it from another user on this forum, Esmark78, perhaps he can shed some light on the subject. _________________ /Mikkel |

Very nice...very healthy looking children!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I particularly love the variegated calamondin. The leaves and young fruit are so colorful. If the fruit disappears from the micro finger lime you will know that I was there. jejejejeje In spite of your bad summer, the trees look great.

@MGT: Is your Microcitrus australasica(?) grafted or from seed? How old is it?

It´s grafted on Swingel citrumelo. I bought it about ½ a year ago, so i guess it´s 1½ years old. _________________ /Mikkel |

A small update with pictures of my winter setup
Soil temperatures are on a constant 22C/71,6F. Air temps are also on 22C +/- 2C.
I have 3 12WATT LED lights that are on 15 hours a day.
