Fresh Defrost Innovative freezing technology
With its development of an innovative freezing process, Fresh Defrost was established with a mission to revolutionize the marketing supply chain of agricultural produce. The growing popularity of frozen fruit throughout the world, despite its deteriorated quality upon defrosting, is evidence of a strong and growing market demand for out-of-season fruit all year round. With the new Fresh Defrost freezing technology, growers and distributors can now promise their customers a year round supply of their favorite fruit, with a defrost quality far superior to anything previously achievable.
Fresh Defrost specializes in the design, manufacture and marketing of food freezing facilities as turn-key projects, providing all the required know-how and equipment for the establishment of a customized food freezing plant.
Unprecedented advantages
The new freezing process is the first of its kind and the first major innovation in the food freezing industry for decades. It brings with it important advantages. It is an all natural process using no chemicals, and maintains the fruit's original nutritional value. It does not adversely affect the flavor or appearance of the fruit or vegetable, never causing them to become runny. What's more, the hygienic process resulting in low bacterial levels ensures increased shelf life.
Model Plant
Applicable to a wide range of foods, Fresh Defrost technology focused in the initial stage on fruit and especially pomegranate arils. These are handled in conjunction with the new patented technology for extracting the pomegranate's juicy seeds the ArilSystem developed by Fresh Defrost parent company, Juran Metal Woks Ltd. The establishment of a joint venture facility in Israel's Galilee region is aimed at combining these two technologies to allow the world's consumers easy access to the pomegranate's remarkable healthful properties, and to distribute pomegranate arils frozen, throughout the world and throughout the year. Also acting as a marketing tool, this plant will serve as a model and demonstration center.
Field-proven
Already operational in a facility in Israel, the technology is tried and proven. Designed for easy deployment, the Fresh Defrost process can be installed as an add-on to existing IQF facilities.
Established in 2006, Fresh Defrost is jointly owned by Juran Metal Works Ltd. (65%), a private family business, and by the developers of the freezing technology, Drs. Genady Goldman and Alex Thichelnitsky (35%).
