I bought two Xie Shan sats from a very good nursery yesterday. The nursery was so crowded I didn't ask the questions I needed to ask. I was also thrilled to buy the last two Xie Shan. The approx. three gallon pots are unbelievably heavy. The young person helping me said they are heavy because of all the mushroom compost. The texture is very unusual to me. I don't see different textures or fines. Maybe it's mushroom compost with some sand mixed in. It's well blended, very wet and very heavy. Water is not weeping out of the pot. I am scared to death that the roots are going to stay too wet and we are in a spring cool spell so I don't want to repot for a few days. The citrus trees look great. Any ideas ? At the very least I think I need to mix the existing potting soil with some shredded cypress or pine bark and repot. If I do it will be a gunky mess. Thanks. Tom
