How did it happen? One minute everything is fine, and the next practically all of my citrus have webbing. But its being sorted. My flat is basically one giant ocean of mite killer. Future generations of their kind will tremble at the fate of their ancestors for a thousand years!!!

Increased the amount of pebble trays for humidity. Got out the little humidifier I used to use back where I used to live.

Surprisingly not a single one of my orchids has mite infestation. Not that I'm complaining!

Aesir, glad to hear it. I used to have a terrible problem with spider mites but I figured out a great solution. Now all I do is put my trees in a warm shower for 15 minutes, then spray the top of the soil with insecticide. It works great because all of the mites that get washed into the soil die when I spray. In fact it's been three months now and I haven't seen a single mite. I'm also getting a massive amount of new shoots, which would have happened months ago if not for the mites.

I think these mites must have been very tough. I too shower my plants, all of them, every 3 to 4 weeks. Don't spray the soil though, perhaps thats why they come back. Well, they are very dead now! And no signs of return as yet!
