You can leave them out until night time temps drop below freezing. If there is any new growth, bring them in during frost.

We have had some low temps start to come in recently. I notice if the night time temps drop to right around 55F or below, when the sun comes out some varieties (could be related to rootstock not sure) will droop a little and the fruit will become a little soft, eventually they (I believe when the root warm up) they recover and look normal.

last Wednesday it drooped to 50F at night I watered them in the morning with warm water and did not see any drooping or soft fruit, it seemed warming the roots prevent this from happening .

Agan it seemed like some varieties more then others, noticed more on clementine sangunelli, valentine, tarocco. Un effected where not surprisingly the cold hardy types: all mandarins & satsumas (except clementine), all kumquats and hybrids, moro, valencia, and some others.

I will probably be putting my citrus in my greenhouse soon really only to keep night temps above 55F. I am interested in what others experience has been...

The cooler temps are what trigger the color change.
