Here are some pictures of my sunquat

April 05. For scale, the tree is in a 20 gal trash can. The stand is built with 2x2's.

Could you describe what you believe the Sunquat tastes like and how can it be used? I hear a lot of varying opinions about the quality of the fruit.

Sunquat tastes great and sweet in March and April. It's pretty sour at Christmas. Peel tastes nice. Tastes of kumquats to me. Makes passable marmalaide. Many better citrus available.

We only had about 10 fruit ripen the first year, and they all got eaten very quickly.

I enjoyed cutting them into eigths, poking out the seeds and eating what was left. The rind is sweet and contrasts nicely with the slightly sour flesh. Half my family found it impossible to eat the rind due to ingrained habits, though.
