I have four citrus plants, but the clementine seems to have a problem. For the longest time, it didn't get any new growth, and most of the old growth seemed fine, but there was a little bit of new growth that was kind of yellow. Now there is a lot of new growth coming, and it all seems a little yellow, not light green like it should be. I fertilize weakly every time I water, and I treat them all the same (I don't water them all at the same time, I just water when it seems dry enough when I stick my finger in the soil). It's still in the pot and soil it came in, but the soil seems kind of gritty. The other three are fine. What could this be?

Most new growth comes out a very light greeen. It will get darker once it starts absorbing some sun

It's more yellow than green, and should have grown by now. The new growth is stunted, also.

The yellow color may be caused by low temperatures. I had the same problem with meyer lemons this March due to below normal soil temperatures. Now that temperatures are in the low 90s the new growth is dark green and the vigor is much greater. The second growth flush of the season is now developing. Some of the first growth flush was light green/yellow and stunted. This is no longer an issue now that soil temperatures have warmed.

Thank you TRI. I hope that's it!
