FOR EXAMPLE:
IF I ROOT A CUTTING FROM A MOROBLOOD WILL THE CUTTING BE AS THE MOTHER TREE OR WILL IT NEED TO BE GRAFTED?

WHICH HAS A QUICKER GROWTH RATE A SEEDLING OR A CUTTING?

A cutting is the same as the plant it came from-- rooting does not change the variety, however it may change some of the characteristics such as growth rate and flavor of the fruit and may be more susceptable to soil born disease when compared to the parent tree if that tree is a grafted tree on a typical rootstock.

Buddinman tells me that a rooted cutting will not do as well inground as a seedling since it does not have a taproot, but they will do fine in containers.

A cutting does not need to be grafted, if the cutting was taken from a mature fruit bearing tree. It should bear fruit in 2 - 3 years when properly grown. - Millet
