My citrus plants have an infestation of red mites for the second year in a row. I have an insecticidal soap to spray the leaves but the instructions say to avoid spraying while blossoms are present. There are many blossoms present at this time . Will an insecticidal soap harm the blossoms? Is it toxic to bees? What reason is there to avoid spraying while blossoms are present? The red mites seem to damage the new leaves but not mature leaves.
