Hi,
I am into bananas these days and trying to find the most suitable varieties for me.
I have few questions;
1. Does Musa Velutine, Pink Velvet Banana really grows healthy indoor? Does it bloom and produce fruits indoors? All seed-sellers say so but I want to hear personal experiences?
Can I keep them in containers in my balcony at summer and move inside when the weather get colds? How cold can they survive?
2. I read that Musa Sikkimensis/Darjeeling can survive -3F.Is it possible? My city has a zone similar to 9 in US.It never snows but we have 5-6 nights at winter that we see 32F. The point I plan to grow them gets some hard wind sometimes. Do you think they can survive these conditions inground AND can produce fruit? I want to grow them outside for fruit.
3. This year I will build a small, 100metersquare greenhouse.I will grow citrus trees.Can citrus and bananas live together in same greenhouse? Well, it maybe a stupid question but I am not sure if I can grow many different kind plants in one greenhouse or should I keep the greenhouse peculiar to one plant type.
