Just added 3 of the BEST trees in my collection. Bought them at WallyWorld in Clermont last week. They are in 5 gal pots & loaded with fruits & blossoms. Smallest is 4 1/2ft to 7ft.
One on left is Honey Murcot, middle is Ponderosa (look at the big fruit!) and on right is Tahiti lime. $24.86 a tree was a steal. And, NO SHIPPING -they fit in my car!

The trunks are an inch diam. The tags say "rootstock -Volk". What does that mean?? Also, Dr. Manners said that Bearrs lime is Tahiti lime. The tag says "Persian Lime (Tahiti Lime)". I was told that persian limes are what we buy in stores. I tasted a Bears lime and it tasted much better than store bought. I'm confused about this...was it mislabeled? I sure hope it's a Tahiti. I was looking for a Cara Cara as I just tasted one from our store & it's now my favorite orange. Ahh, next on my list to buy.
Patty ...sooo happy Laughing

Nice haul Patty. Looks like you had a great time.

Volk rootstock is Volkamer lemon. It is a very common rootstock in FL. It is vigorous and should do well for you as you are keeping them in the house for winter. Volk is not cold hardy so we can't use it for inground citrus in our area.

P.S. I'm telling Millet you were shopping at wally World again... Laughing

OH NOOO! Don't tell Millet I shopped there. But, if it makes anyone feel better..I got a funny story behind what I paid ha ha. I told the cashier I only wanted one tree & that I came from Wisconsin & could he give me a 3-for. I said it as a joke-- HONEST. So when he rung the total, he only charged me for 2 trees. Total of $49.72 & he winked at me. My mouth fell open & I pulled out a couple bucks to tip him and he said no. So, Millet, if you see this, maybe the guy hates Wallyworld too! Or, he was just a super-nice guy.
Those 3 trees for less than $50.00!!!
Still very HAPPY

Laaz, why is it that these PRETTY girls always get a break when purchasing trees, and us guys alway have to pay full price? - Millet

Millet - my big brother, I will go to confession - but with a grin on my face.
I guess I got away with this cuz I must have 'balls' somewhere. Just don't know where they are! Wally-guy is who stole from them-not me.
When I was in Mx. that's all you do is barter. Guess that's where I learned that from.....and it works here sometimes! Try it! (I got lucky) Luv Y'all' And, thanks for the info Laaz (my little BIG brother).
Now, about that Tahiti... hmm?
