Came to visit me. Took away a lot of my root stock and some of my 15 month old trees. Took away my Loquat seedlings and some of my potted rootstock. Gonna have to start over with some additional rootstock and and get more Louquat......Called back to Entergy to work.....20 hour days and have not gotten everyones lights on yet. This is day 12 after the storm. Getting some wind from Ike tonight....in Baton Rouge and surrounding area. Not bad .......about 30 MPH sustained and gust of about 50 mph..............normall would not bother us but in the condition we are in from Gustave its gonna knock out some of the stuff we just got up again. All is not lost. Have some rootstock left and can salvage some of the grown trees that are uprooted.......and have a few of the budded trees that will make it ok...........got to repot, water and fertilize them to try and save them. Good luck to all in the path of Ike..............hope you make out OK..........................David

Sorry to hear about your losses, David.

It can be so frustrating to put so much work into trees only to lose them to a storm or a bad freeze.

.....Alan.

Sorry about that. Wish we could freely send you citrus plants to replace what you've lost but that is not legally allowed. Restarting from scratch is always exciting for me, it gives me better opportunity most of the time.

I hope Ike is the last for this year and I hope all of you in TX and LA recover soon.
