Hi everyone,
The description in "Hardy citrus for the Southeast" made me very interested.
Does someone tasted the fruit of this plant ? Is it promising like it's written in the booklet ?
So; if someone have extra seeds, think about me !

Wish you all a happy "end of the year"
Lionel, in South of France

You aren't missing anything. It is a beautiful tree not really productive but nice fruit with lots of juice and a terrible off taste and sticky resin and seedless. Sorry

Thank you for sharing your experience. It is unfortunate that the fruit retains the aftertaste and the typical sticky resin of Poncirus trifoliata...
Does anyone have a satisfying experience with this cultivar?

Dragon lime is a flying dragon x satsuma. It is not very fruitful and does produce an occassional seed but you could be waiting a long time before you managed to find one. Cisuma Prague is similar in form but is an unstable chimera.

Unifoliate cisuma is nearer to being edible, less poncirus taint and gets sweet. Trifoliata cisuma is similar except definitely deciduous here and tends to have more acidity. Both being normal pt x satsuma.

HRS899a, a second generation pt x changsha mandarin is another citrandarin that approaches edibility. Possible problem with this is that it can quickly become over ripe and insipid.

Non have the twisted form of flying dragon or dragon lime.

I think trifoliate cisuma is available from Citrus Bali and HRS889a from Adavo amongst others. One of them also has the sister seedling HRS899j but as far as I am aware no oneb has flowered that form yet. The others in the HRS899 group are acid with varying poncirus taint.

Dragon lime is an unknown cross between Flying Dragon and the other parent is unknown. I found the tree at Treesearch farm, Houston TX, years ago. It was with a lot of seedling trifoliata.

I believe Bonnie, the founder, is correct on the complete parentage of the Dragon Lime. I've always heard that the second parentage of the Dragon Lime (other that Flying Dragon) is unknown. - Millet

Hi Everybody,

I stayed over a week without being able to connect to the internet.
Today I found a connection, and I thank you all for your valuable contributions and new tracks as you suggest me.

I've heard that Dragon lime was Poncirus trifoliata flying dragon X citrus sinensis 'hamlin' Rolling Eyes But I do believe that nobody but the founder know it.
Thank you Bonnie. Indeed it's true that the fruit produces occasionaly a seed. I have a seedling of it, and will tell you how does it taste, in ... 10 Years Laughing

Jardipat, I can send you a budwood but you must wait one year because my plant is very small. It is grafted so you don't have to wait 10 years. Laughing

Thank you Sylvain for your proposition. I'll wait next year.
Gardening teaches me patience!

To Franck, appointment in ten years...
