Here is a link to help identify D.F. & it's history. Interesting & good pics!
I was told I have Red Vietnamese Jaina so I guess I really have Red Jaina OR Vietnamese Jaina. I also have yellow (from Citrus Joe).
I hear that red fleshed tastes better than white fleshed and the yellow is the best.

In my opinion in taste I love the red then yellon and then white. Though I took out all my white ones and chunked them. The taste and flavor was to bland to me on the white. I have both the red and white growing up on 4x4 posts then rebar going on top _________________ South Texas gardener |

I LOVED the yellow dragon fruit i had in hawaii at a farmers market and I tried a red one at an oriental store and I thought it was bland and gross. |

I saw Home Depot selling pink flesh ones. Anyone have opinion on the taste of these? _________________ 1 Fuerte Avocado, 1 Wash Navel Orange, 1 Wonderful Pomegranate, 1 Moro Orange, 1 Lime? |

I finally got 1 DF last year. Only 1 flower but I got lucky with hand pollinating it. I read they like to bloom on full moon eves and you gotta pollinate when opened cuz they are done after a few hours. I checked my calendar from last year, & suure enough - it bloomed on full moon eve.
I got another flower bud now that I think will open Fri or Sat as this Sat is full moon night. And, after checking for more, I just found another bud starting --WOOHOO. That will prolly bloom next full moon. These plants are so big & top heavy, I will have to stand on stool to see if they are the red or yellow - since they are both in same pot. They are still in same pot as posted above, but the top is solid branches/legs over hanging.
Anyone else w/ a flower? _________________ Patty
