I have a citrus seedling doublet growing in a three gallon pot. Should I leave them alone or seperate them? The plant is very healthy and growing and I would hate to kill it trying to seperate. I was thinking maybe two trunks are better than one since if one is damaged the other will continue to grow.

I notice that it is common for citrus seedlings to produce more than one trunk from a single seed. At least a third of my seedlings are multi trunk plants.

yes, it's a so called polyembryony which is quite common phenomenon for some of the citrus varieties... i wouldn't just separate them, moreover I'd leave only one of the trunks (the vigorous growing one).
however, everything depends on whether you want a tree or a shrub!?
