Hi Smile

I'm Lisa, from Austin, Texas. I followed Millet from another citrus forum. He probably doesn't remember me but I saw his post about here Smile

I have a slight problem or rather I did have a problem with a potted Lemon Meyer tree and now that the weather is starting to warm up here in Texas I hope to avoid this problem when I take my trees out.

I have two potted Lemon Meyer Trees and during the summer, I moved my potted Lemon Meyer Trees from one side of my porch to the front of it and started noticing that on one of the trees the nice green foliage started developing little holes through out the leaves.

I am not sure if they are burn marks or perhaps being eaten but it was only on one tree.

I did notice a small, light green winged , flying insect on the tree but couldn't tell if the insect was eating the leaves. Not sure what it was nor can I find it. The closest I could find is a leave hopper but it isn't a 100 percent match the insect I'm describing.

Anyways is there any way to confirm what maybe the problem?? Since I have taken the trees indoors the tree has grown new leaves with no problems but again I'm thinking "bug or sunlight?"

If it's bugs then anyway I can battle these flying insects when I take it outside again?

Here is a picture. I hope it works.

It is hard to say for sure, but it does not look like sunburn. My guess would be bugs of some type. Katydids are notorious for eating citrus leaves as are the larvae of the giant swallowtail--also know as orange dogs.

There are some good bugs that fit your description--the lacewing is small and can have a green body with lacy wings.
