I had a bark graft break off again in a windstorm, forgot to stake it. Oh well, glad I had more than one graft on the stump and one that I had cut back planning to cut it off! I had three and had already cut off one. Wind has been bad this year and I forgot as well!

I had bad luck with this stump. My bark grafts from last year that I hoped would fruit this year all froze and took their time to die so I had to re-graft.

I've just left the rubber bands wrapped around the grafts on, and haven't had any trouble with wind. It has been hard keeping everything alive with this drought though.
