I have a question to the people growing Thomasville citrangequat. For the years I am germinating all the seeds from my Thomasville, hoping to get some variants.
This year I got a nicely growing seedling that is pushing in anti clockwise direction.

I checked my mature plants and other seedlings , they all are growing clockwise with three turns and 8 leaves nodes to reach the similar
position on the stem.
Are your Thomasvilles growing the same way?

So, it is amazing that nobody here has Thomasville.Or do no not care to post an answer?
Is the growing geometry has something to do with clonal versus variant heritage? Is it just by chance that the rest of my Thomasville seedlings are growing clockwise?
Could be the worthwhile to keep anti clockwise seedling?

I missed this post. I have never really checked to see which way they grow. Maybe they are the same as people, some right handed & some left handed.

Thank you Laaz. Could you check it?
It seems to me that the sense of growing is preserved in nucellar seedlings.

I checked mine this afternoon. The curvature is counterclockwise, if viewed from the group up; clockwise if viewed from the top down. From what I've read, most vines twine counterclockwise if viewed from the ground up - that is, if viewed from the side, they ascend from right to left. Interestingly, with vines the species seems to determine the direction of the twining, but in trees, the twisting of the trunk seems to be individual, with some specimens of the same species twisting clockwise and some counterclockwise.

Thank you elsedgwick
It is amazing because all my Thomasville seedlings with the one exception are growing in the clockwise direction looking from bottom to top.

I've not noticed turning in my Thomasville and never thought about it as citrus are trees. I know my Japanese wisteria twines to left and Chinese wisteria to the right which is a documented trait in liturature.
