Most nurseries sell their own brand of slow release fert with trace elements. You might see if they carry one. I use one from the nursery here but since the trace element amount is a bit low I add a small amount of S.T.E.M to it. I have not been able to find an offline supplier for S.T.E.M so I have to order it online. The cheapest I found was from First Rays Orchids. $3 for a pound that will last a LONG time. 1tsp will make 4 gallons.

mostly whatever goes on sale the cheapest on price per lb of total nutrients. Then I will supplement with minors if those cheapo fertilizers don't have them. Usually, composted steer manure and my own yard compost supplements all the micronutrients and minors. |

HEY, that's not fair! I just bought STEM from First Ray's & they charged me $4.00 & $4.05 for shipping.
Andi, how often do you use stem?

I use Miracle-Gro made for Citrus (it's also for mango and avacado). Here is a pic of the back label.

Disneygirl, you are good at your pics! You must have a nice camera for close-ups.
I would add a little more nitrogen to your plants - maybe in the form of bloodmeal?
Millet, I have Peter's 20-20-20 w/ micros...is that what you're using?
What's the macro's on yours?
You said before that you use something like 5-1-3 (or something like that),with no micro's, & use STEM for trace elements (micros). Can you tell us more of what you use to fert. & how much & how often? Thanks much

Thanks. I love the camera I have. Although, I had to put it on the lowest resolution because it used too many KB to load on Imageshack.com. Even with the lowest resolution it still takes great pic's.
How much would I give?
What other forms are there in case I can't find bloodmeal (where to look)?
Anything else I need or am I good to go after the nitro addition?
Thank you. _________________ Disneygirl |

Ben - The camera I use is a Nikon CoolPix 3200, 3.2 Megapixel. I bought it in March 2004 (to have at our son's 5 year old birthday party at Disney, family tradition for all 5 year olds) at Best Buy. I Love the camera. Remember (only if you actually saw it) that commercial with the dancing turtle and the guy with the camera, well that's the camera I have. Only I bought it before tht commercial. So there you have it. You can still get the same camera now, but it is MUCH less expensive and they did come out with a newer model. _________________ Disneygirl |
