yes very interesting leaves.........but perhaps the leaves is small/narrow since the root system is not healthy?

I think no....but it will receive the new root and turns out to successful.

These type of seedlings are sometimes seen in Citrus nurseries where 1000's of Trifoliata seed are sown.
In my experience it wont recover and grow normal roots, if you want to progress it, graft or bud part of it onto a normal seedling.
