I found this picture on the internet. It looks like a black (australian?) lime. Anyone know this?

This shape of 'fingerlime' is typical of the European ones I discuss at http://www.homecitrusgrowers.co.uk/australiannativecitrus/europeanfingerlimes.html
Do you know where this photo was taken? - I am willing to bet it wasn't a wild tree in Australia!
I have seen very dark purple fruits which I think could easily turn out black on a photo, but I still believe these are actually hybrids and not true (Micro)Citrus australasica.

It does look like a Blood lime.

I didn't notice at first, but the picture appears to be taken at the Bachès nursery in France. So it's definitely european.

The black fruit is probably just a white balance issue. I played a little with the picture in Photoshop. This is what came out...



This is the reason why I never use automatic white balance on a camera! Wink

White balance is always a problem - unless you have a WhiBal reference card, and Photoshop or equivalent with a white balance tool.
