HI i am completely new to growing any kind of citrus. I planted an orange seed from an orange about 6 months ago and 6 stems sprouted. All 6 stems are sturdy and have several leaves. Which i thought was great since i live in the unpredictable New England area. I thought the stems would root together to make one trunk but there is no sign of this happening, seems as if they lined up in a row..

So i guess my question is do i have 6 little trees on my hands or will the eventually root together at one point? If it is 6 trees should i transplant them to different pots?

I attached a picture of what has grown so far, hope this may help with any comments/advice.

You have six small trees. You should be able to separate them and plant them in their own containers.

Thank you very much! Very Happy Is there and specific way i should go about seperating them? Also is there a healthier soil or fertilizer i should buy for my citrus trees? I heard there should be a certian ratio of minerals but i can never found it. Do you recommend a specific brand?

Again im very new to growing, so i apologize for all the questions.

To separate them use a hose with a gentle spray & spray the root ball. Soil should be anything with very good drainage. I use the stuff from walmart called Expert mix.
