Hi again all

Sorry to post again so soon after another post, but another question just came to mind! I have a tahiti lime i bought a couple of weeks ago. it was grown at odd horizontal angles on a little trellis - to save space at the garden center more than anything i think!

Anyway, it wasn't in great shape, poor thing, so i bought it in the hope i could nurse it back to health Smile

it doesnt have the biggest amount of leaves, some fell off really easily when i first got it. It has 3 main woody stems - one is slightly lighter in colour than the others, and has huge leaves in comparison. i dont think it is from the rootstock though, its the back of the tree so maybe just too shady!

I want it to grow strong and healthy - not so fussed on fruit for the moment until it gets itself on its feet. it has a lime on it - quite well developed i think. should i clip it off so the plant focuses on foliage? i water it very carefully, as i do my other citrus Smile and feed it with a summer citrus feed that has added minerals. it is placed in a position where it gets really good, but not piercingly direct bright, sunlight. i mist my citrus several times day - but am locating a gravel tray for them. i have a fan at some distance from them on a few hours a day in the hopes it wil strengthen the trunks and to keep away mites and fungus. i have enclosed a couple of pics. any hints and suggestions or any thoughts appreciated Smile

dan

You will get more growth by removing the fruit---that tree is pretty small for fruit.

the lime has been removed Very Happy think it was nearly ripe anyway. tasted a little tart, but was nice when i squeezed some into a diet coke! i cut off four or five little calamondins that were growing on my calamondin too - its only about a third the size of the lime and throwing out about half a dozen little fruits! lol

thanks for the advice Very Happy
