I was in my local Wally World today and happened to pass their Christmas closeout rack. They had boxes of the 100ct white LED Christmas tree lights (indoor/outdoor) for thirty cents a box. I bought twenty boxes and if there are any left this weekend I'll get some more.

Might be worth taking a look to see if your local store has any on closeout. With the lights in the trees and the frost cloth wrapped around them it really is going to look like a parade of ghosts out there next winter.

Do the LED bulbs put out much heat? I have always used the old C7 type.

LED bulbs give off virtually no heat. stick with the old ones if you want heat. LED is great for decoration and saving $ from electric bill.

i have noticed that each store are a little different. especially with sales.

It seems you are right. My mistake. Looks like the wife will get them for the house then.

We were in "Wally World" in Bellingham Wa a few weeks back and picked up the c9 Christmas lights for $1.60 per box on closeout. I wanted the yellow or orange ceramic looking lamps. just for a better effect on my citrus!
