I went to Costco today, and as usual, overspent.
I've bought 10 pineapples to make 2 batches of 5 gallon pineapple wines.
I've bought 6 boxes of pomegranates to make 2 batches of 5 gallon pomegranate wines.
I always add a pound of banana for fruit wines to dramatically improve the body of the wine, and so bought 20 lbs of cavendish banana.
This time, it costed me an arm and a leg. Something happened to the pomegranates at Yolo Fruit stand where I used to get them at about $0.49/lb, they never went down to that price and the lowest its been is when it hit $0.99/lb but it looked like rejects, so did not buy them from the local fruit stand. But since my pomegranate wine is so popular with my friends, craving for more, they are expecting the same next year, hey, it is a give away, you know. So I have to bite the bullet and get them at about $1.25/lb at CostCo! But, it will be well worth it. |

Well spit!
I wish I knew, maybe wait until next year, Pom's grow real well in AZ and we have over 200 of them in stock. I could have sent you a box |

I might drop by! Some of your Poms would be better tasting than the ones in California, especially with the added heat! I've read elsewhere that Arizona is regularly sponsoring a Pomegranate Festival.... |

I don't know about the Festival, but it seems to me people here have a Festival for everything.. One thing is for sure Pomegranate's are increasing in demand here and not just the fruit but the vine/tree for backyard orchards |

Joe;
Is there another post where you have your wine recipes? If not would you consider posting them?
