Kind of an odd question: I've never tasted a Blood Orange, I've scouted the stores here in our town and had my husband check when he went to Lexington, we both came up empty. I'd like to try them, and get some seeds if they have them.
Does anyone have an online source I could buy them? Or, has anyone grown some I could buy, I should say!
Thanks!

Our local Safeway stores carry them, alongside with Cara-Cara. The most common ones on sale are Moro and Tarocco. I like Tarocco much better. So check the produce section of your local Safeway grocery. |

Moro Blood Oranges, just showed up in our local supermarket last week. I have not seen any Cara Cara for sale yet this year in our stores. The fruit on my Cara Cara tree are still green. - Millet |

I got the only ones I ever found in So. LA at one of the Becnel stands. They had plenty seeds. I think the ones I got were Moro. They were a little tart, sort of a raspberry flavor to me, but good. _________________ Skeet

Moros have showed up recently in Chicago and the Cara Cara have been here awhile. The Moros must be early ones as they are still a bit tart, not as good as the Taroccos that show up early spring. BTW, the Moros and Cara Cara I have eaten are pretty much seedless, save for one or two occasionally. |

Thanks. Tennessee is sort of the wasteland of consumer items. Our fanciest food comes from Walmart. Even Knoxville, which is a large city, doesn't seem to have any specialty stores or high end groceries. My husband went to 3 different stores in Lexington, KY and they didn't have them either (the end of December). But he is awfully cheap, oops I mean frugal and maybe he saw the price and decided to pretend he never saw them.
If someone comes across some good ones, could you buy some for me? I will happily pay cost, plus shipping and a finders fee.
I did find one place online, Melissa's or Michelle's or something like that. I think the price was around $18 plus $18 for shipping.
Thanks! Susan _________________ Susan B

My sister just called from Wisconsin, she found some at a specialty fruit market (Brennan's), and bought some for me to try. Whoo hoo! _________________ Susan B
