Supposed to drop to 26 F here tonight, about a month early for anything this cold. I harvested about 4 bushels of fruit tonight, the rest will have to deal with the cold. Crying or Very sad It usually stays about 5 degrees warmer in my location compared to the airport so I should be ok...

I'll ship some of my 85-90 F temps out to you via FedEx. Just ignore the ash and smoke in the box. . . 'just California burning in the lake of fire. Smile

Made twenty eight here last night and another lighter freeze expected for tonight. Spent half of yesterday afternoon wrapping my grove citrus in frost cloth then moving the container stuff into the workshop. I expect to have the greenhouse finished this weekend.

This is showing signs of turning into a bad winter.

I have not seen the official low here, but it was 36 when I got up around 6. We are suppose to get another shot this weekend. It is turning out to be a little colder a little earlier than normal-- I hope that does not mean even colder than last winter.

Funny thing - we haven't seen freezing yet. My bananas leaves are still green . Only a couple of light ground frosts - I don't think we have gone below 35. almost a month behind schedule and counting. No complaints from me. Cool I guess I will have to protect my plants sooner or later - all my potted palms are still on my deck...

Same here on the Island Greg. Some parts of the south Island and Gulf Islands haven't seen anything below about 42°F so far. The cold will come but for now we'll take the milder temps. I am getting a bit complacent and should start to look at the coming season a little closer.

Cheers, Barrie.
