On Saturday I bought this small, dwarf Eustis Limequat tree on a trellis:

And I'm not sure how I should grow it next. Keep it on a trellis or make it into a standard tree? I have one Eustis Limequat tree that is in the process of being made from a trellis bush into a tree.
But this tree is different: it has one long branch-stem, so if I tried to straighten it out it would look like a long stick. Would it be hard to keep it growing on the trellis? What difficulties would I have? How should I solve those difficulties?
Or is it just a way for the nursery to make their trees look beautiful at the moment when they're leaving the nursery and they're like "we don't care how it grows at the buyer's home, we just want money"???

A bit off topic: is this Eustis limequat or a lemon at all?

The trellis will assist you in keeping the tree in a bushy, low growing form. you can tie down branches like the nursery has done, instead of pruning them back. Its really up to you if you want to keep it on , to me it looks to small, the tree will out eventually out grow it and would be difficult to remove without damaging the tree.

If it where my tree I would remove it and allow the tree to grow in its natural form, but that's just my opinion. If you chose to remove it and still desire a small compact form just prune the fast growing shoots until it develops a bushy form.

Well if it IS actually Eustis Limequat then the tree has an open growth habbit, an would have to be pruned often to maintain a compact shape. So that's why the nursery puts them on the trellises. But it's apparent that they just allow one main long branch to form without the trellis and they put them on the trellises right before shipping, otherwise the leaves wouldn't be directed downwards...
