You know I just got done telling a friend that I had all kinds of citrus blooming. Then I read some of these posts..... I have a few citrus blooming.
These are in containers because I will be moving. But they are kept outside without a structural protection. I don't have room to keep them inside even if I wanted to. The Homeowner doesn't allow green houses. So, I have to move.

I don't have the time or space to go as crazy with the citrus as some of y'all do so my in ground trees are fairly limited.

When I was out there yesterday I noticed the Orlando tangelo and Ambersweet orange had the most flowers. They've been at it for a while. The "New Satsuma" (unknown variety from the Just Fruits folks) has just started blossoming. It is the last of them all to put on new growth and blossoms in the spring. The Meyer lemon has been blooming for a while and for the first time I had blossoms on my Seville orange. The Ponkan I just planted seems to have chosen a nice flush of leaves over blossoms which is fine with me. The Sunburst I planted at the same time is going both ways. The Page orange has put out only a handful of blossoms, but it's still a rather small tree. The Taiwanica lemon hasn't blossomed, but as I unintentionally managed to kill about half the growth on it last year it's putting its energies into new leaves and branches.

All of my potted citrus but for the Meiwa kumquat is in blossom, some of them for the second time this year. Smells heavenly in the greenhouse.

.....Alan.

See the link for an explanation of what "dragon lime" is. I had one but pulled it up after tasting the fruit and it does not set fruit well either. It is barely edible when overripe if you are desparate. It's very ornamental thorn bush and is much more contorted than flying dragon trifoliate with longer and more curved thorns.
