I have a small Bay Tree ( Laurus Nobliss), in a 1 gallon pot. This poor thing just isn't coming along. The leaves keep turning brown starting at the tip, including much of the new growth. I'm not sure what's going on with this thing, but it looks horrible. Does anyone have advice on getting a potted Bay tree to really thrive? The web resources are garbage, it's always just some blogger saying to use compost. That's about all the info I can get on their care. I know they are slow growing, but that is about it. Any tips on caring for these trees, including in Arizona would be appreciated.

You should plant it in the ground. They are hardy to at least 20F and root hardy to 10F (from my own experience).
