This probably isn't the best place for this post, but it didn't really fit anywhere else. Anyway, I just finished a grapefruit for breakfast and was wondering if anyone else has the grapfruit knife that I found. It really helps cutting the fruit out without geting a bunch of the skin or what I call "veins" (is there a scientific name for it?). It has a curved blade for separating the fruit and a double blade to cut on each side of the "veins". My version has a wood handle, but this similar model was at Crate & Barrel:

I have never user a grapefruit knife, looks tempting. I use a baby spoon. When I say baby I mean VERY small. More like 1/4 a teaspoon in size. I think I picked it up at Goodwill or somewhere. Anyway, I use a sharp paring knife to go around the edges then scoop out the flesh with the baby spoon. It does a great job. I have even used it on navel oranges.

I use a grapefruit spoon. The tip of it is serrated. There are several kinds but my favorite has a more of a wedge shape than a normal spoon. It seems to get all the pulp out better.
