Two questions regarding MidKnight Valencia orange:

1- Does it actually have seeds or just less?

2- Will its pollen cause my Algerian mandarins to become seedy?

I love valencias and want more citrus in the summer but would prefer to buy them if the tree is going to make all my other trees seedy. They are probably the cheapest fruit to buy in southern California so it may not be worth the space in my yard.

Thanks for your help.

it's virtually seedless. midknight's pollen is very low in viability, so you don't have to worry, it's not likely to cross-pollinate with your algerian mandarins...

I can't answer your question but I have a partial tree of Midnight valencias. I thought about cutting it down because valencias are too late for my area where we get fruit ruining freezes. Earliness is a big factor in SE Texas for variety selection. However, my Midnights are on the verge of being ready right now which most years would be early enough.
