For so long it was just plain HOT here and an unusual amount of days over 90 degrees. We WERE 9 inches down in the rainfall department but that has gone by the wayside and for the last 2 nights I am up and out on the deck at 3 AM doing damage contol for the pending storms keeping the citrus and banana upright and placing bags over the tops of the pots to keep them from getting saturated. So far so good and all seem to be well even though a couple have been tipped, this mornings storm bent a 6ft shepherd hook clear to the ground and put the banana on its side, thankfully its a short plant (no damage) and thats a heavy pot!!! Winds at the airport which is on the south side of the city were clocked at one point at 70MPH. They say things are going to improve now for the up coming weekend AMEN. Well off to the south shore of Lake Superior till next Tuesday for a mini vacation at my sisters so...Later

Have a good one Joan! Be sure to remove the covers on your plants.
