Can you guys help me out on this Mandarin. I bought some of these mandarins(?) at a local Farmer's market in Southern California(Tom's Farm in Corona CA) and did not see a variety labeled? It was very sweet and amazingly good tasting. The segments were not connected when opened. I purchased these in July.

I think they are some type of Satsuma. This fruit is a little smaller than a navel Orange.

Thanks,

Morgan

Are they seedless? If they were grown locally they might be Gold Nugget since you bought them in July.

I am pretty sure they were grown locally.

I removed my post, because I originally thought you purchased small mandarin trees. On re-reading, I now understand you purchases the actual fruit. Therefore, my response did not make sense. If the seller at the farmers market picked the fruit himself, go back to the farmers market and ask him/her what type of mandarin was picked the fruit from. - Millet (874-)

I was thinking that they look like my Gold Nugget also.
