Hey everyone,

Not so long ago there was a link posted somewhere on the forum where you could calculate how much fertilizer of your specific type you could feed your citrus, based on the values you entered (e.a. your bottle ratio).
Now I cannot seem to find this so if anyone still knows which one it is, I'll be very gratefuul. Smile

greeting!

I haven't been here for a while since I'll probably need to sell my citrus next year but still...
after all this time, anyone who remembers the calculator I'm talking about ?

I just used the calculator as I did last year and last year I could give my citrus more fert than was stated on the bottle but this year the numbers seem to be excessive. :s

I am using a ratio of 11-3-6
The bottle says "2 bottle caps every 2 weeks" which is equal to 20ml per 5l
water every 2 weeks. So I used the calculator. 20ml per 5l water equals to 3 teaspoons per gallon. When I use these numbers in the calculator I get 435 ppm for nitrogen ! :s
This means that I should fertilize less for getting the 250 ppm.
Is this correct or am I doing something very wrong ?

Based on the NPK values you mention I believe you must be using Sunplant Citrus fertiliser. Wink

I use that and I fertilise with every watering. I normally use 3.5ml of fertiliser in 1.5l water, which is about 11.5ml in 5l water or about half of what you have calculated.

I think the Sunplant bottle says to fertilise every 2 waterings. In that case the amount of fertiliser applied is about the same.

I too used a formula I found on the forum, but it wasn't the one in your link. I have no clue which thread it was...

Haha indeed! Stopped using DCM because of the 6-6-7 ratio they apply for some reason.
Every 2 waterings could be possible and sounds logical.
Thanks for the info Wink

You can also contact Sunplant directly for information. They are very nice and responsive people! Smile
