Ilovecitrus, I seen your private message, but as I have not yet answered it I will post my answer here. I have a shelf full of citrus books, many of them excellent, but I have not found a good book written for containerized citrus trees.
Absolutely with out a doubt, in my opinion, the best citrus book that I have read is "Biology of Citrus" by P. Spiegel-Roy and E.E. Goldschmidt.
"The Citrus Industry" by Batchelor and Webber is also a very good book. It is comprised of four volumes. It has been put on the Internet, so you can read it on line.
"Citrus Fruit Biology, Technology & Evaluation" by Milind S. Ladaniya is another good book. In places it is quite technical, and not easy reading.
"Citrus Growing In Florida" by Louis Ziegler & Herbert Wolfe, is easy reading. I would rate it as OK.
I have in my library many other books on citrus, which fills a wide range from really terrible to fairly good. However, it will take you quite some time to read the above selections. Best regards. - Millet (1,107-) |

Ilovecitrus, let me add another book, that is very good, but again, it is technical reading. "Citrus Health Management" edited by L.W. Timmer & Larry W. Duncan. Available only through The American Phytopathological Society. - Millet (1,107-) |

LSU publishes a small booklet on citrus for $5.00. It does not cover container growing but does cover rootstock, varieties, spray schedules and dilution rates for chemicals. LSUagcenter.com. home citrus production. |

I want to add a book, it's somehat difficult to get it, because out of print, but if you can get one, it's recommendable:
"Citrus Nurseries and Planting techniques" by Bernhard Aubert.
The book is done by many other co-authors and handles how to set up a citrus nursery. Many things maybe needless for container growers, but in the chapters about "the Container Nursery" are many interesting facts for to grow citrus in containers, here on the topic of nursery production.
But here you find potting mixtures, rootstock informations, fertilization guidelines as well as a brief view on diseases and nutrient deficiencies.
The book was once guessed as a handout for agricultural help in french agricultural help service for developing countries, like Tunesia, Egypt and Morocco. As a handout to people who wanted to establish a nursery and need something as reference how to.... So it was quickly translated from french to english by the german GTZ (society for technical cooperation) which supported the agricultural development service in several other countries. The german agricultural development service did not realy found the book further helpfull, because their help service concentrated more north, so citrus wasn't in their range, but for many other nations the book was a very good help in starting a citrus industry. _________________ Eerh, hmm, uuuh, oooh, just guessing |

I ordered "Citrus Nurseries and Planting techniques" by Bernhard Aubert and came to the forum to check if it is already mentioned and I found this topic.
The book by Aubert is really informative, I like it a lot. They collected a lot of information from many countries especially Mediterranean countries including mine.
You can order it through;

I oredered French PDF version by mistake but they were very helpful to replace it with the English version. Shipping prices are high so you can order a pdf and print yourself. |

Yes, that is why I ordered a pdf, shipping is expensive.
I found it on Google books first as you do but the first 80 pages was missing when you use the original google Google.nl seems much more generous |
