That is a lot of growth in such a short period. I wish my seedlings grew that fast!

No, I am not growing almonds right now. A great joy in life though is planting seeds and watching the plant grow but it is also frustrating when you try and fail. I tried planting citrus seeds two years ago and only one survived! Your plant looks very healthy though.


When I was young we had pecan trees in the back yard and everyday after school in the fall I would come home and pick pecans. Lots of fun back then and those memories stay with you for lifetime.

I totally agree with you, almost all my plants are grown from seed, it's a great emotion watching them grow from the beginning, they're almost like sons for me Laughing

Interesting nut the Pecan, we don't have it here in Italy!
Edit: Yes I think we have it but it's not very common (It's called "American nut" here Smile )

Here's my guy. He's growing vigorously, I had to brace it because the stem couldn't bear the weight of the new foliage. I can't really understand this unbalance with young trees, it's pretty common with citrus too and other plants.
