I just took pictures of my backyard plants and I will be posting them real soon. It's been a long time since I posted and I have steadied done a lot in my backyard since then. Mostly I did a lot of concrete work because I hate those weeds overcoming my backyard all the time. So, I will be posting some pictures. Also my kids have grown up and had accomplished so much things I never dreamed of. I am proud of them.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Fred: My bananas are doing great except that I found out in my opinion that the climate and the temperature in my area are not conducive growing bananas. Let me remind you though that the temperature in my area is unique in the sense that the same zone 9 with tempt goes up above 85 degrees during the summer you can successfully grow bananas to fruition. Here, because we never (as far as I can know) we never have high temperatures here. As far as I can remember we don't have a temperature go up over 85 (guess only) during the summer time continously. We still hovers on the 55 degrees during the summer night. I can noticed that in zone 9 where the tempt goes over 85 during the summer continously, they are successful growing bananas. They were able to ripen the fruits with gusto. Here from my experience I was not able to. I was able to flower 4 kinds of bananas but the 3 kinds did not make it except the California gold. Even though my CG took almost 4 times longer to ripen. This is all winter and all summer long waiting the expectation.
So I conclude that whatever I have I'll just let them take its course: whoever live without my help I'll nurture them. whoever dies, well, I'll just say amen to them.
I have a bunch still living but they will die in winter but then come up again during spring time. Fruiting them? Nah!
Fred: I ough you one. In case you did not know, I'll encourage you to graft the clemenule mandarin Joe Real gave me. You won't be sorry. It is better than the Satsuma mandarin or the best mandarins they sell today for its sweetness, juiciness and easy to peel it is out of this world. It is also easy to take and very healthy and fast growing. Usually, after grafting, it will flower the next year. I'll post pics soon. I'll send you a scion when you say so. |
