I was looking around on eBay, well someone from Mariana Islands is selling seeds from local citrus varieties. They give local names and I wanted to know your opinion on these. Do you think they are really different than some thing I can already get here in the states? And would they come true?

Lemon Kannu'on
Orange Kahet - green orange
"Lalangha" or "Lalanga"
Citron Citrus medica

Being citrus, although it is not a certainty, chances are they probably will come true from seed. However, if you have no idea what variety they are, why would it really matter it the produce true anyway? Because citrus seed have a very short viability, unless proper care is constantly given them, chances are "high" that their germination will be low or none. - Millet

I thought it was legal with a USDA small lots seed permit.

Is citrus on their banned list?

Thanks,

I can understand it being illegal importing from outside of the United States, as in other countries. But the Mariana Islands are a Commonwealth of the United States. Or is it illegal to importing from outside of the continental United States?

I remember reading that no part of any citrus tree or fruit can be imported by an individual.
